Olympic National Park backcountry campsites
Recreation.gov does not show you the Olympic National Park wilderness permit one campsite at a time. It asks you to choose a Starting Area first and then offers the camps inside it, and the permit listing does not tell you which camps those are. This page lists the campsites Bearpath covers by park district, and for each district says which Starting Area the booking grid names for its camps, what kind of site each camp is, and how it is booked wherever that is not the ordinary online route. Each name links to that camp’s own page of standing facts.
Sections are the park districts recorded for each camp in the permit data, ordered the way the booking grid orders its Starting Areas, with any district the grid does not list after them. Recreation.gov’s booking grid named a Starting Area for 139 of these 153 camps, and each section says which. For the other 14 it named none, so no Starting Area is claimed for them.
Recreation.gov’s booking grid also offers a PNT Thru Permit Starting Area. Bearpath does not list those camps yet, so none of them appears below.
Bearpath states standing facts only. Nothing here says whether a night is available, or whether a road, trail or beach is open or passable — check dates in the planner, and conditions with the park.
